are DTV antennas worth buying?

The short answer is NO, its not worth it to buy any antenna with a sell price of more than $5, in my experience I made my own antenna that could pick up 7 channels with no signal boost, thinking that I could get more out of a commercial tv antenna... 

except it picked up 4 channels with a so-called signal booster, 5 stars average on amazon, I then found out that they bribe you with a $20 gift card if you leave a good review, your better off just making one out of scrap wire there are many good DIY antenna builds on YouTube the one below is the one I got the best results on
